Thinking of all of you! Skip will truly be missed... His teasing, his smile and his warm hugs I will forever cherish! You had a special father and grandfather. Love and sincere condolences to all of your family.

The passing of our parents' peers does make one think of those who have shaped and influenced you. Margaret and Skip where not only your childhood neighbors, but valued and trusted friends of my parents in a time when kids ran and played with few concerns. We had great roll models, and Skip was a solid guy in so many ways-- hard worker and good father. After we moved back to Sylvania, he was supportive of the athletic pursuits of Kurt and myself.
I can say at this point in life that a key part of my success can be traced back to the early influences of those like Skip, who provided a good example of how to live your life.

My sincere sympathy to your family. Skip was President of the Sylvania Community Services Board of Directors when I was the Executive Director there.
He was always very professional; and I had the highest respect for him. So sorry to learn of his passing.

My sincere sympathy to the Hilfinger clan. As a friend of the family since 1969 I have many fond memories of hanging out in the house in Sleepy Hollow and the cottage on Wolf Lake. Skip was a wonderful father who many times carpooled us all to St Pauls. Cherish those memories in your heart. God bless you and may you find comfort that Skip is with our father awesome lord.
