William Kupsky Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William Bradford Kupsky October 11 th, 1940 – December 13 th, 2025. Brad passed away peacefully at The Elizabeth Scott Community, surrounded by his loving family.

Brad was born in Wheeling, West Virginia, to William Walter Kupsky and Mary Davis Kupsky. Known fondly by many as Kupcake, he graduated from Libbey High School in 1959, after also attending DeVilbiss High School during the 1956–1957 school year. He continued his education at the University of Toledo, where he was a member of Phi Kappa Psi and later graduated from Davis Business College in 1963.

Brad proudly served in the Ohio Air National Guard from 1963 to 1971, attaining the rank of Sergeant. While attending the University of Toledo, he met Martha Elizabeth Bruce, and they were married on June 29 th , 1963, beginning a devoted partnership that spanned more than six decades.

Brad began his professional career with General Mills on Laskey Road, where he worked from 1962 to 1967. He then joined Derkin and Wise Incorporated, a specialized industrial distributor, as a sales representative in 1967. In 1985, Brad founded his own company, WBK Company, representing numerous industrial product lines.

A man of deep faith and service, Brad was a devoted member of Olivet Lutheran Church from 1965 until his passing and served for many years as a Sunday morning usher and served on the church council. He was actively involved in youth ice hockey in Sylvania from 1973 to 1985, was a longtime member of Highland Meadows Golf Club and served as the Club’s Secretary for many years. Brad also volunteered as Security Chief for the Jamie Farr Toledo Classic.

Brad was known for his generous spirit, warm heart, and playful sense of humor. Above all else, he deeply loved his family. His most treasured role was being Pepa/Papa, a title he wore with pride and joy, offering unwavering love, guidance, and support to his grandchildren.

Brad is survived by his beloved wife, Martha; his sons John (Edith), David (Karen), and Matt (Carolina); and his daughter Elizabeth (Biz) Kupsky Goforth (Brad). He is also survived by his sister, Lois Wheatley Holland.
