William Terry Holbert

William Terry Holbert, 67, of Sylvania, OH, entered the Lord’s Heavenly rest on Wednesday February 12, 2025. He was born on November 27, 1957, to Alvah and Grace (Degenhart) Holbert, and was raised in Adrian, MI. On August 30, 1986, he married Josie Kowalski, and together they shared 38 wonderful years of marriage, raising two sons he cherished.

Terry dedicated 20 years of his career to DHL as a manager before transitioning to other leadership roles in logistics, eventually retiring in 2019. He earned both his bachelor’s degree and M.B.A. from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and took great pride in obtaining his private pilot’s license. An avid reader and music enthusiast, Terry enjoyed a wide range of genres, with Buddy Holly remaining a lifelong favorite. He loved planning trips, cheering on the Detroit Tigers and Lions, watching movies, and attending musicals. In retirement, he enjoyed completing projects around the house and hunting for treasures at estate sales. More than anything, Terry treasured time with family, especially being a grandfather to his three grandchildren. He also had a soft spot for Cooper and Dolly, his sons’ dogs.

Cherishing Terry’s memory are his loving wife, Josie; sons, Christopher (Cindy) and Kevin (Lauryn) Holbert; grandchildren, Jack, Kendall, and Henry; sister, Bonnie Giroux. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ken and brother-in-law, Dan. 

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, OH. A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5373 S. Main St., Sylvania, OH.

Those wishing to give a memorial are asked to consider St. Joseph Catholic Church or a charity of their choice.
