Timothy Howard Moran, 68, of Petersburg, MI, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020 at Flower Hospital.
Tim was born January 12, 1952, in Toledo, OH, to Joseph and Betty (Howard) Moran.
Upon graduating from Anthony Wayne High School in 1970, Tim began a lifelong career as a carpenter for Local 248. A proud member of the union brotherhood since 1972, Tim took on many roles throughout his tenure, including Advisory Board Member, District Council Delegate, Organizer, and Local Union President. He also served as a mentor to fellow carpenters and assisted with training new apprentices.
Tim wed Diane (Nelson) Fleitz in 1995, thus joining their two families into one. As a proud and loving Papa, he took an interest in his grandchildren’s sporting events and activities. An active outdoorsman, Tim took pleasure in teaching his grandchildren how to use a bow and taking them fishing on the lake. He had also enjoyed karate, training Great Danes, and participating in the dog show Circuit.
Tim impacted many lives and leaves behind his loving wife, Diane Moran; children, Stephen Moran; Stephanie Fessenden; Stacey (Paul) Bucher; step-children, Dawn Fleitz; Donald (Stephanie) Fleitz; Dandi (Korey) Gawronski; eleven grandchildren; siblings, Joseph Michael (Melinda) Moran; Linda (James) Suter.
A private graveside funeral will be held at Highland Memory Gardens in Waterville, OH. A celebration of life will be planned for a later date. Reeb Funeral Home assisted the family with professional services.
