Suzanne Harrigan Obituary

Suzanne Marie (Burno) Harrigan of Sylvania, Ohio, loving wife of William Frederick Harrigan, passed away on January 23, 2021, at Ebeid Hospice.   Sue was born on October 6, 1936, and married Bill, the love of her life, on October 1, 1955.  During their 65 years together they raised five sons, sharing all the joys and challenges children bring to family life.  Sue was raised in Lambertville, MI and graduated from Bedford High School in 1954.  She was an LPN and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sylvania.                                                        Sue and Bill enjoyed traveling together and anything that involved getting together with family.  Sue was a great mother to her daughters-in-law and welcomed them into her life and happy home with open arms.      Sue is survived by her sons Tim (Terri) of Indiana, John (Cathy) of Colorado, Steve, Tom (Helen) and Chris.  She is survived by sisters Janet (Donald) Harrell, and Judy McLelland of Ft. Worth, 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her brother Gerald Burno and sisters Evelyn Putinta and Pamela Burno.   Special thanks to Bill’s sisters, Gina Lucas and Bonnie Huff, for the loving care and companionship provided to both Bill and Sue.

The family wishes to thank neighbors Barbara Cox and Trevor Ramsey for their kindness and assistance over the years, and to the following care professionals:  Kimberly Gravelle; Yvonne, Myiisha, and Kristin with ProMedica Nursing;  visiting physician Dr. Ryan Richardson; Toni with Great Lakes Nursing; and the staff at Ebeid Hospice.

Brief visitation for family was held at Reeb’s Funeral Home in Sylvania on January 27, 2021, followed by a graveside service at St. Anthony Cemetery in Temperance, MI.  Online condolences to  reebfuneralhome.com
