Susan Carole (Thornton) Susor

Susan Carole Susor, 78, of Sylvania, Ohio, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2025, at The Toledo Hospital. She was born March 19, 1947, in Toledo, to parents Robert and Luella (Bahler) Thornton. Susan knew she wanted to be a nurse the first time she volunteered as a Candy Striper at Flower Hospital on Collingwood Boulevard. Susan went on to serve as a Registered Nurse at the former St. Luke’s Hospital for more than 42 years before retiring in 2011.

She enjoyed crocheting and playing games of chance at various casinos.
Susan is survived by her loving son Robert Susor and his sons Aiden and Austen; her longtime companion and friend Paul Di Cenzo and his sons Cory, Cole, and Nicholas; and many friends. Susan was preceded in death by her parents and faithful K-9 companions Tootsie and Sassy.
Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St. Sylvania, OH, Friday, June 13, 2025, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm where Funeral Services will be held on Saturday June 14,2025 at 10:00am. Susan Then will be laid to rest at Toledo Memorial Park.
