Susan J. Spino

Susan J. Spino, 68, of Sylvania Township, passed away Saturday morning, June 26, 2021, at the St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. She was born in Toledo February 7, 1953, to parents Gordon “Sam” and Donna (Metzger) Johnson. She was employed in the administrative offices of Washington Township until retiring. Susan loved all animals especially cats, any stray needing a home was welcome. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to Upper Michigan, especially the wine country near Traverse City. Susan adored Frank Sinatra, so much so that “old blue eyes” has a room dedicated to him in her home.

She is survived by her loving husband, Floyd “Butch” Spino; daughter, Jill (Adam) Finch; step-daughter, Erinn Spino; step-son, Ryan (Jenell) Spino; grandchildren, Dustin, Cody, Hunter, Lucas, Ian, Blake, and Colin; brother, Mark (Laura) Johnson; and aunt, Louise Metzger. Susan was preceded in death by her parents; and step-daughter, Shannon Spino.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at the Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Maumee, on Friday, July 2, 2021 at 10:00 am.

Those wishing to offer memorials, in lieu of flowers, are asked to consider the Toledo Humane Society or a special charity of the donor’s choice.
