Sue Hoellrich, aged 81, passed away at Genacross Lutheran Services - Wolf Creek, Holland, OH, Sunday March 10, 2024.
She was born Sue Parker on March 28, 1942, to Reba and Charles Parker and grew up in Defiance, Ohio. Sue was an NHS graduate of Defiance High School. On June 23, 1962, she married John Hoellrich, of New Bavaria, Ohio, and they settled in Sylvania, Ohio, where John would become a prominent architect.
She was devoted to caring for her family and assisting her husband with operating his architectural firm.
At other times, she might be found working as a substitute school librarian or secretary, volunteering her time teaching others to read via Read for Literacy through the Toledo Lucas County Public Library, as a Sunday School teacher or as part of altar guild at church. Sue was a founding member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Sylvania.
Amongst her greatest pleasures were spending time with family and friends, time in Northern Michigan, traveling, or tending to flowers and plantings found adorning their home and property.
Sue is survived by daughter Jennifer and her daughter, Allison; son, Scott; and his daughters, Mary Sue and Catherine.
Special thanks to the staff of Genacross Lutheran Services at Wolf Creek.
