Shirley Anne (Struble) Wise, 91 passed away peacefully on August 20,2025. She was born on June 14, 1934, in Wauseon, Ohio to P.B. and Charlotte Struble. A 1952 graduate of Wauseon High School, she moved to Toledo and attended Davis Business School and then worked for several years as a secretary for Owens-Illinois before becoming a full-time Mom.
Later, she worked for many years with a group of her friends at The Silver Ladies and Mini-Mug House. She was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church in Toledo. She was an excellent sewer and over her many years created wonderful quilts, crochet work, needlepoint and cross-stitch pieces for friends and family.
Several of her family members also cherish her Christmas tree skirts she made and personalized with their histories. Shirley is survived by her sons, Jeffrey (Andy Lucas) of Columbus, OH, Steven, of Bluffton, S.C., and daughter, Patti (Gary) Bradish, of Swanton, OH, five grandsons, Zachary (Kadlyn) Bradish, Kyle Bradish, Joshua (Tareem) Bradish, Garrett Bradish, and Joshua Niederkohr.
She is also survived by her twin great-grandchildren, Zayn and Emma Bradish and her sister, Rita Nord of Fremont, OH, and several nieces and nephews. Shirley was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Harold “Red” Wise whom she married on October 2, 1955, until his death in 2006 and her daughter, Lori Wise Niederkohr who also died in 2006. She was also predeceased by her daughter -in-law, Susan O’Leary Wise in 2016.
Visitation for Shirley will be at 10:00 – 12:00 on September 4, 2025, at Reeb Funeral Home where a funeral will follow at 12:00 with Pastor Steve Smithberger officiating. Buriel will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. Instead of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Epiphany Lutheran Church
