Shirley Breitzman Obituary

Shirley J. Breitzman, 77, passed away Friday, December 6, 2024, at her Sylvania home. She was born February 18, 1947, in Evanston, IL, to parents Marvin and Marion (Kluge) Carlisle, and they preceded her in death. Shirley was an avid quilter. She has created more than 200 quilts of all different sizes over the years. One of her quilts won a Blue Ribbon at a Sautter Village quilt show. She also had a passion for flowers and flower gardens.  This included creating a garden in the neighborhood common area.

Shirley is survived by her loving husband of more than 54 years, Richard C. Breitzman; daughter, Amanda (Richard) Tetreau; son, Grant (Andrea) Breitzman; grandchildren, Thomas Breitzman, Sarah (Max) Carr, Victoria and Elizabeth Breitzman, and Kevin Tetreau; brother, John Carlisle; and faithful K-9 companion, Splash.

Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St. Sylvania, OH, Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. The Funeral Ceremony will be conducted at Olivet Lutheran Church on Friday, December 13, 2024, at 11:00am where family and friends may gather one-hour prior; Pastor Melissa Micham will be officiating.
