Sherry A (McKay) Howard

Sherry A. Howard, 86, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024, at the Elizabeth Scott Community. She was born in Toledo, Ohio, February 20, 1938, to the late Dougal and Wanita McKay. Sherry married Jerry Howard from Reynolds Corners on September 12, 1950, and was married 61 years. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Toledo, where she served on the Church Council and ushered. She was also active in many church activities such as Ruth Circle, Altar Guild, Toledo Ministries, and many more committees. Sherry graduated from Burnham High School in 1955 and Davis Business College. She loved to read mysteries, play cards, and loved being with family, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Sherry was a secretary at Gladieux Corporation, Toledo, and MicroScreen Inc. in Mishawaka, Indiana, Barry Bagels office in Toledo as a receptionist.

Sherry is survived by her daughter Anita Richardson; son Steve Howard; grandchildren Heather (Justin) Hilger, Dwight, Brittney, and Kelcie; great-grandchildren Grady, Logan, and Thea Hilger; sister Lynne (Derril) Bodnar; brothers-in-law Doug (Carol) Howard and Al Miller; sisters-in-law Shirley Wozinak, Barbara Gorski, Mary Ellen Hawley; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Husband Jerry; son JerryScott; sister Janice; parents-in-law Emerson and Irene Howard; mother June Adams; sister-in-law Jacki Miller; and brothers-in law Ronald Jakab, Robert Gorski; and granddaughter Thera.

Friends and family may gather at the Grace Lutheran Church, Toledo, Thursday, May 23, 2024, from 10:00am until the Memorial Service begin at 11:00am, Pastor Brenda Peconge officiating.
