Sharon “Shari” Kay (Cousino) Pierce, 78, of Sylvania, OH, passed away at Otterbein Sunset Village on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. Shari was born on November 16, 1945 in Toledo, OH, to parents Paul and Arilla (MacDonald) Cousino. Shari married John R Pierce on June 24, 1967 and together they raised 2 daughters.
Shari was a 1963 graduate of Sylvania High School and then attended the Mercy School of Nursing graduating with her RN degree. She was a long-time nurse at Flower Hospital and after retirement, she worked part-time at different home health agencies.
She was a devoted member at Olivet Lutheran Church for more than 45 years. Shari was a Mother Advisor of Sylvania Rainbow Assembly #82. She was a member of OES for over 50 years and served as Worthy Matron for Palestine Chapter #51.
Shari is survived by her daughters, Margaret Kamin and Nancy (Bob) Schultz; grandchildren, Maria (Andrew) Holland, Christina Howard, Samatha Howard, Nate (Jazmyn Sehy) Schultz and Blaine Schultz; great grandchild, Vanessa Sehy; and many nieces and nephews. Shari was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Paul Cousino, sons-in-law, Russ Kamin and Jim Howard; and nephew, Mark Cousino.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2024 from 10am until the service begins at 12:00pm at Olivet Lutheran Church in Sylvania. An Eastern Star service will be held at 10:45am, in the church atrium.
There will be a luncheon following for those who wish to attend.
