Sharon Louise (Meier) Dawson

Sharon L. Dawson of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on December 25, 2023.

How does one explain such a colorful person in only black and white text?

Born and raised in Toledo, Sharon spent many years working at Toledo Hospital before assisting her husband Chuck with his accounting business. Afterwards she found great enjoyment volunteering at The American Cancer Society’s Discovery Shop in Saxon Square. Summers were often spent hosting garage sales and having fun by the pool. She had a collector’s mindset and enjoyed searching for antiques and treasures.  

Sharon loved her animals, family, friends, and Elvis Presley. Her personality sparkled as much as the clothes she wore and her generous spirit will live on in the minds of those who knew her.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Karl and Eleanor Meier and daughter, Denise Hurd-Robison. She is survived by her son, Gary Hurd, former daughter-in-law Susan Hurd, granddaughters, Lauren Hoenie (Tim) and Shannon Buccini, five great-grandchildren, along with other family and friends.
