Russell Reed

Russell Reed, 72, of Toledo, OH, passed away, Thursday, October 23, 2025, at St. Anne Hospital. He was born in Toledo, OH, August 2, 1952, to parents Richard and Lois Reed.

Russel was a lifelong carpenter who had the ability to fix anything. He loved fishing on the Great Lakes, was marvelous cook, and enjoyed tinkering with electronics.

Russell was proud to have served with and was Honorably Discharged from the United States Marine Corp.

He is survived by his loving wife of more 40 years Teresa “Terri” (Smaciarz) Reed, and their son C.J. Reed; sister Camille (Roy) Hammer; brother Jeffery Reed; and many nieces and nephews. Russell was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends and family are invited to gather at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St. Sylvania, OH, Monday, October 27, 2025, from 11:00am until the Funeral Ceremony with Military Honors begins at 1:00pm. Those wishing to offer memorials, in lieu of flowers, are asked to consider the charity of their choice.
