Russell Jennewine, age 96, passed away unexpectedly on October 19, 2025, while spending time with family. Born on March 28, 1929, he lived a life grounded in faith, family and hard work.
A devoted father, papa and friend, Russell was a man of quiet strength and deep kindness. His Catholic faith guided every step of his life, and his caring heart touched all who knew him.
After serving overseas in the United States Army, he spent his career as an engineer with the Jeep Corporation, where his dedication and skill earned the respect of colleagues and friends. Outside of work, he was happiest spending time with his family, coaching his children’s CYO teams, and enjoying the simple things in life like a country drive or having breakfast with friends. He was heavily involved with his extensive family and made a lasting impact on their lives and character.
He is survived by his children Thomas (Rosa), Jane Richardson (Dave), John (Erica) and Paul (Jenny), numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the light of his life. He is also survived by his brother, Robert. He was preceded in death by his daughters Mary Kay and Mary Beth, parents, Martha and Julius Jennewine, brother, Richard and his sister Jane Pribe.
Russell’s life was a testament to love, faith, and integrity. His memory will forever be cherished by those blessed to know him.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 23rd 4-8pm at Reeb Funeral Home and Friday, October 24th 10-11am at Saint Joseph Catholic Church followed by a funeral mass at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Saint Joseph Parish athletic fund in honor of his dedication to his faith and his children.
