Ronald James Mattimoe, age 66, passed away unexpectedly on May 29, 2026. Born in Toledo, Ohio, in 1960, he was the son of James and Betty Mattimoe.
A 1978 graduate of Southview High School, Ron worked as an Operating Assistant for Centerior Energy, where he was respected by his coworkers and recognized through the company's Bright Ideas Program for his innovative contributions.
Above all, Ron cherished his daughter, Jennifer. He enjoyed spending time with her, sharing dinners and making lasting memories together. Ron also loved fishing in his pond, working around the house, and tackling electrical projects. Family and friendships were always at the heart of his life.
Ron is survived by his daughter, Jennifer; sister, Cynthia (James) Luczak; and brother, Robert (Cheryl) Mattimoe. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Betty Mattimoe.
Ron will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and devotion to those he loved.
Graveside services will be at Toledo Memorial Park on Friday June 12, 2026, at 11:00AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Autism Society of Northwest Ohio, a cause that was very close to his heart.
