Rodney John Dreier

 Rodney J Dreier, 86, of Venice, FL, formally of Sylvania, OH, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Dorcas House in Bradenton, FL. Rodeny was born on November 26, 1938 in Fort Knox, KY to Herman and Evelyn (Weaver) Dreier. He married Susan M Schuster on Feb 18th, 1961 and together they raised 2 children.  
Rodney graduated from Scott High School in 1956 and continued his education at the University of Toledo where he received his BA degree in accounting.  He retired from The City of Sarasota in 2005.                                                                                     
Rodney enjoyed golfing, spending time with his friends and family, keeping up with current events and politics, reading, coin collecting, investing and watching NASCAR, he later in life enjoyed his time at the local YMCA and playing with his great-grandchildren. Rod also enjoyed spoiling his grand dog Reba and Dorcas House resident dog Moe.                                                                                                
Rodney is survived by his children, Beth (Dreier) Suttie and Brent Dreier, his grandchildren, Nicole, Angelica, Anthony, Eric, Payton, Isabella and great grandchildren, Andre, Tanner, Harlow, Rowan, Keanu and Canelo. Rodeny was preceded in death by his brother Richard Dreier and his parents Evelyn and Herman Dreier.                                                                                                                         
Visitation will be at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St. Sylvania, OH, on  Thursday December 19, 2024, from 12pm until the  funeral service begins at 2pm, with Interment following at Toledo Memorial Park.
