Richard Lee Wiedmann, 81, of Sylvania, OH passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side. Born May 3, 1942, to LeRoy and Myrtle Wiedmann in Toledo, OH. Richard graduated from Waite High School in 1960. He was very proud of his Waite High School. Richard served for 6 years in the Army National Guard as a radio operator and sharpshooter M-1 rifle.
Richard retired from Tecumseh Corrugated Box in Perrysburg OH after working for over 30 years.
Richard was a member of the Christ Dunberger Post 537 in Oregon, OH where he was a member of the color guard. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan. He loved fishing, boating, and traveling the world. Everyone that ever met Richard, loved his calm and patient demeanor.
Richard is survived by his loving wife Mary with whom they traveled the world and made friends everywhere; children Aaron (Kay) Wiedmann, Stacy (Jeff) Crooks, Andrew Wiedmann, Lynn (Jim) Loomis, Rhonda (Aziz) Brihoum; and 8 grandchildren including his little buddy, Amayas. Also leaves behind his special dog, Daisy. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Robert and sister, Sharon.
Visitation will be Friday, February 9, 2024 from 3-7pm at Reeb Funeral Home. A Catholic Mass will take place Saturday, February, 10, 2024 at 10:30am at St. Joseph Church, Sylvania OH. A private burial will take place at a later date.
