Richard “Dick” H. Davoll, passed away peacefully Saturday January 30, 2021. Dick was born October 15, 1927, in Toledo, Ohio to the late Walter and Mary (Tunison) Davoll. He graduated from Burnham High School, in 1947. Dick married the love of his life, Betty Lou Moore in 1948 and they celebrated 72 years of marriage, March 20, 2020. He was employed at Doehler Jarvis, Plant 1 as a machinist, retiring after 42 years. Dick was a self-taught mechanic and could be found “in his garage” at home working on all types of vehicles, if he wasn’t at work he was in his garage. During the summers, his family went to various Lakes, the first was Vineyard. Then Dick and Betty owned a cottage on Nettle’s Lake. They enjoyed watching the family boat, water ski and swim. Dick is survived by his loving family, daughters, Marcia (Tom) Steele, Christine (Burton) Porter, Susan DuShane, Karen (Mark) Reese and Ruth (Dale) Gudex, brother, Don, sister-in-law Marilynn and brother-in-law John, 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and many nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Betty Lou, in 5/5//2020, and daughter Charlotte Kruczkowski, 1/14/2021. The family would like to say a special thank you to Kerera in the Catered Care Unit at Kingston of Sylvania, for taking awesome care of their Mom and Dad. Mom and dad loved her so much in the short period of time. Thank you Kerera. Family and friends may gather at the Reeb Funeral Home, Sylvania, Saturday, February 6, 2021 1:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M.
