Richard Elmer Stieb, 83, of Toledo, OH, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 30, 2025 at his home. He was born on September 14, 1941 in Berkey, Ohio to Charles and Selma (Stanton). He married Jean Wyant on April 8, 1961 and together they raised 3 children.
Richard graduated from Whitmer High School in 1959. After graduating, he started his 33-year career at GM Powertrain working in various positions until retiring in 1992 as a floor inspector.
He enjoyed woodworking, working on cars and model airplanes. He loved to watch NASCAR races, enjoyed spending time at Lake Columbia and loved technology. He was very handy and liked working in the yard. He and Jean enjoyed traveling to wineries, antique shops and Amish towns to shop. Richard was known for his great sense of humor and will be missed by all who knew him.
Richard is survived by his children, Cheryl (Michael), Bob (Silvia), and Doug (Pam); grandchildren, Cassidy, Anthony, Michaela, Taylor (Nate), Casey, Ricky (Catherine), Kaylee (Cody), Cody (Lulu); great grandchildren, Remi, Layna, Rori and Nora; and many in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jean, his parents and siblings, Lillian and Charles “Chuck/Bob”.
Visitation will be at Reeb Funeral Home on Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 11am until the funeral begins at 2pm.
