Obituary
Richard James Fowler Jr, 79, of Sylvania, OH, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2023, at the Ebeid Hospice Residence, Sylvania. He was born in Toledo, August 17, 1943, to parents Richard Sr. and Lilly (Pfeifer) Fowler. He worked out of Union Local 886 as a cement mason for more than 62 years. Richard enjoyed watching dirt track late model cars race at Oakshade Raceway.
He is survived by his sons James, who was also his care giver, and Randy Fowler; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and brothers Michael, Leslee, Randy (Vicki) Fowler. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of 50 years, Beverly (Phillips) Fowler; daughters Valerie Smith and Pamela Fowler; sister Norma Beadle; and great-grandson Collin Fowler.
Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St. Sylvania, OH, Thursday, May 25th from 4:00pm until 8:00pm, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00am. Richard will be laid to rest beside Bev at Toledo Memorial Park.
Those wishing to offer memorials are asked to consider the American Cancer Society, in lieu of flowers.
Dick was a good and honest man who suffered way too much, the world is better place because he was in it. We will miss him very much!
