Richard D. Bigelow, 82, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away, Friday, December 26, 2025, at Orchard Villa. Richard was born in Toledo, OH, September 11, 1943. Richard was employed with Doehler-Jarvis for many years, and was proud to have served with the United States Army during the Korean War.
Richard is survived by children Sarah, Andy, James, Michelle, and Robert Bigelow; grandchildren Christine, Jay, David, Harmony, and Gabriel; great-grandchildren Alice, Heaven, and Larry; sisters Ann and Beverly; brothers James and Richard; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his biological father Harry Distel and adoptive father Harold Bigelow; mother Veda (Shoen) Bigelow; loving wife Eva (Van Brandt) Bigelow; daughter Rachel; grandson Seth; brothers Robert, George, Raymond, and Craig; and sisters Gladys, Evelyn, Janet, Katherine, Carol, and Diane.
Friends and family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the Saint John The Baptist Church, 5153 N. Summit St. Toledo, OH, at 11:00am, following the mass Richard’s life will be celebrated at the Arrow Club, 740 Galena, St. from 2:00pm until 4:00pm. He Will Be Missed
