Rheta “Ruth” Krumm of Ottawa Lake, Michigan went home to be with her Lord on
March 30, 2025 at Otterbein Sunset Village SeniorLife Community in Sylvania, Ohio.
Ruth was born in McClure, Ohio on May 7, 1938 to Kelso and Laura Richard. Ruth
graduated from Waite High School in Toledo, Ohio. She met her husband at a dance
where she told her friends she was going marry him. She married the love of her life,
Fred Krumm, on October 18, 1958, at St. Michael Lutheran Church in Ottawa Lake,
Michigan and were together for 55 years before Fred passed away on July 21, 2014.
Ruth was a woman of faith who always put her home and family first. She was a
constant in the lives of her three children always there at their activities cheering them
on. She enjoyed working for Family Physicians at Flower Hospital in Sylvania, Ohio
starting out part time and then working full time after the children graduated from
high school.
Ruth and Fred enjoyed traveling, mostly with their trailer, visiting the
fifty Continental states as well as many places outside the US. They spent many years
at Houghton Lake and Myrtle Beach along with trips to both coasts when their
children were home. Later they spent many winters in Florida enjoying the warm
weather and their Florida friends. Ruth loved quilting, Christmas, shopping and doing
things with her sister.
Survivors include her son Richard (Maryanne) Krumm, daughters Lori (Tom) Mulzer
and Lisa (Kelly) Bischoff. Ruth was a loving Grandmother to six grandchildren,
Karly, Katherine, Avery, Kelly, Cole and Mark and one great-grandchild, Cooper.
She is also survived by her sister, Connie Koprowski.
The family wishes to thank all the special people at Otterbein for their wonderful care.
