Patsy “Pat” Prange, age 94, passed away at home on May 27, 2025. She was born on May 13, 1931, to William and Ruth West in Toledo, Ohio. Pat married Donald Prange in 1954, and they spent 64 years together before his passing in 2017. Together, they raised five boys. When the boys were young, Pat enjoyed fishing and camping cross-country with their Apache trailer. Her other hobbies included playing Bingo, bird watching, and enjoying “Big Time Poker” with her sisters and nieces. Pat was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and GiGi who cherished her family above all else. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her loved ones. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Bev Johnston, a beloved niece whose unwavering support and love meant the world to her.
She is survived by her sons: Mark (Sherri), Greg (Wendy), Jeff, and Steve (Trica); and daughter-in-law, Irene. Pat is also survived by her grandchildren: Crystal (Brad), Matthew (Kayleigh), Megan (Kyle), Cassie (Holly), Jessica (Lachlan), Kayla, Kelsey, Kristen (Jacob), Zach, Tyler, Brandon, Amber, Mackenzie, and Madelyn; 13 great-grandchildren, with 2 more on the way. She is also survived by her sisters, Bonnie Shaffer and Sheri Perkins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Don; her son, Dennis; her daughter-in-law, Kathy; her grandson, Dylan; great-grandchildren Bailey, Landon, and Nixon; as well as three sisters and three brothers. Pat’s warmth and deep love for her family will be dearly missed. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., with services beginning at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
