Patricia Karcsak

Patricia Marie Karcsak passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 7, 2026, surrounded by her
loving family. She was born on December 30, 1945, in Toledo, Ohio, to Louis and Doris (Wagner) Vavrik.

Patricia married William Karcsak, in 1975, and together they shared 50 wonderful years of marriage while raising their two children. As her children grew, Patricia worked for American
Greetings and later for the Ohio Turnpike.

She found joy in sewing, needlepoint, crocheting, gardening, and relaxing with long naps in her hammock. Above all else, Patricia treasured time spent with her family and cherished every
moment with her two beloved granddaughters.

Patricia is survived by her devoted husband, William Karcsak; daughter, Jenny (Steve) Ackerman; son, Leonard (Melanie) Karcsak; granddaughters, Madalyn and Paige; sister, Emily
Brower; and brother, Milan (Louise) Vavrik.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Doris Vavrik, as well as her sisters, Henrietta Kleinfelter and Doris Kurivial; and her brother, Leonard Vavrik.

In keeping with Patricia’s wishes, a private family service will be held at Reeb Funeral Home in Sylvania, Ohio, with burial to follow at Toledo Memorial Park in Sylvania.
Memorial tributes in Patricia’s name may be made to the American Heart Association.
