Patricia Ann Brunner, 90, of Toledo, OH, passed away Tuesday November 9, 2021, at Ohio Living Swan Creek. She was born January 6, 1931 to Harold and Hallie (Phillips) Cramer in her aunt’s west Toledo home. She grew up in Toledo and graduated from DeVilbiss High School in 1949.
Very involved in civic and community groups throughout her life, Pat will always be remembered as a doer providing leadership to the many organizations she joined. She was especially proud of her work founding the Mini Museum at Stranahan Elementary School and her time as a docent for the Toledo Museum of Art. Many of the organizations she joined focused on women’s issues: Alpha Omicron Pi sorority, Zonta Club of Toledo, and Toledo Woman’s Club.
Some of her volunteer positions led to her profession. Helping with the successful 1974 citizen tax levy campaign to establish Wildwood Preserve Metropark, then serving on the 1976 Decorator’s Showhouse team and as a volunteer tour guide led Pat to work as the Manor House Supervisor for 19 years. During that time, she and dozens of volunteers established enduring Toledo traditions including Holidays at the Manor House, Tea in the Solarium, and Music in the Grand Manor.
Pat is survived by her loving family including daughters, Sarah (Larry) Twitchell and Amy (Les) Marsh; grandchildren, Bryan & Joel Twitchell, Diana, Patrina, & Alex Marsh; special cousin, Barb Hall; many nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend, Laura Bellg.
She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Abbie Marsh; siblings, Norma (Neil) Pratt, Virginia (Stanley) Fisher, and Donald (Vera) Cramer.
Always a lover of parties, a Celebration of Life event for Patricia will take place this summer at Wildwood Preserve Metropark.
Those wishing to give a memorial are asked to consider Abbie’s Fund at Bedford Community Foundation or the Metroparks Toledo Foundation.
Reeb Funeral Home, Sylvania, assisted the family with arrangements and online condolences may be offered to Patricia’s family at www.reebfuneralhome.com.
