Pamela S. Mossing, 78, of Ottawa Lake, MI, passed away, Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at her home while under hospice care. She was born in Adrian, MI, August 24, 1946, to parents Raymond and Katherine (Roe) Hanover. Pam was a full-time home maker and also often worked as a bookkeeper for various businesses. She partnered with her husband, Dick, to build Mossing Concrete Contracting from scratch into a respected member of the Toledo area construction community. She worked job sites in the early days, driving dump trucks and doing other jobs. Ultimately she kept the books for the business and in that way contributed to the growth of many businesses and the well-being of many families. After selling the business, she teamed with Dick and friends to establish a pheasant farm. Starting with a handful of birds, they grew to become a regional provider of pheasants for over seven years, selling to golf courses, hunting preserves, and wild game dinners. Pam enjoyed a number of interests including golf, family vacations, and reading. Weekend camping trips with family and friends developed a legendary status. Pam and Dick continued camping for many years by themselves and with friends. Pam, along with Dick, was a charter member of the Sylvania Moose Lodge. They’d been involved since first being introduced to Moose, and she served for a time as Senior Regent, the highest leadership role. Pam made lifelong friends within and because of the Moose, and she was proud of her involvement in all Moose initiatives and their positive contributions to society. Pam is survived by her daughter Renee Mossing; sons Bob, Brian (Dawn), and Randy (Maria) Mossing; grandchildren Alex, Becci, Courtney, Kristen, Joe, Isabel, Amanda, Jordan, Tatiana, and Jake; great-grandchildren Maverick, Ryker, LaDonivan, SaMiyah, Nathan, Josiah, Micah, Elaina, Gauge, Antonio, Dominick and Connor; and her sisters Jackie, Penny, Midge, and Delight. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick, her parents, and her sister Sharon. A celebration of life will be held Sunday April 13, 2025 from 11 - 2:00 P.M. at the Sylvania Moose. n lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Mooseheart Child City & School Inc., Moosehaven, or the Sylvania Moose Lodge #1579 in Pam Mossing’s memory, to continue her legacy of supporting them.
