Norman Lehmann Obituary

Norman John Lehmann died at home, on January 9, 2021. Born March 27, 1940, to Norman and Catherine Lehmann in Toledo, Ohio, he attended St. John The Baptist Catholic Church and School. Norm went to Whitmer High School. After graduation he joined the Ohio Army National Guard with basic training at Fort Knox, Kentucky. He served for eight years. Norm attended the Johnson Motors Advanced Training School in Waukegan, Illinois to learn to repair watercraft engines. Norm worked at the Shoreway Movie Theater, Lickendrof Hardware,  Master Craft Marine, and retired after twenty years at Chrysler Jeep. He attended the St. Joseph Parish of Sylvania, Ohio.

Norm married Peggy Paxton in 1960. Their children are Kris (Pat) Lehmann, and Diana (Mike) Sorosiak. He was Pip to his grandchildren, Joshua, Rikki, Aaron, Alexis, and Matt. Great grandchildren, Brandon, Noah, Ellie, Cameron, Marsha, were his joy. Norm is survived by his sister, Betty Ann (Tony) Maraldo, brother Mark, sisters in law Karen and Connie Paxton, nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Norm was a life-time member of Riverview Yacht Club and served as Fleet Captain for one year. He loved navigating the beautiful Great Lakes. Football became his passion as a teen. Norm loved watching his beloved Lions and Ohio State teams with his buddies, family, and friends.

Promedica Hospice gave wonderful home care and support for Norm for the past three months. Much thanks to all who gave him comfort while he battled cancer.

The Funeral Mass will be conducted at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sylvania, Thursday, January 14th at 11:00 AM, were family and friends may gather one-hour prior.
