Obituary
Neil J. Montagino, D.O, age 89, of Madison, Ohio, passed to eternal rest on Sunday August 6, 2023, at Rae Ann Nursing Home in Geneva, OH., surrounded by wonderful caregivers and his constant companion and wife, Diana (nee Yakovich) Montagino. He was born April 28, 1934, in Toledo, OH, to Anna (nee Ferro) and Joseph Montagino.
He graduated from the University of Toledo in 1957, in Pharmacy, and was in practice for ten years. He returned to school in Chicago to become a physician. Dr. Montagino practiced as a Board-Certified anesthesiologist for fifty years.
Honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1968, Captain Neil J. Montagino served loyally in the U.S. Army Medical Corps as a pharmacist.
Dr. Neil is survived by his partner in life and wife, Diana Y. Montagino; sister, Josephine Braz (Allen) and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his dear parents, Joseph and Anna; sister, Joanna Valenti Kolberg and young brother, little Charlie.
Family and friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, Sylvania, OH., Sunday, August 13, 2023, 3-7:00 P.M. where funeral services will be held Monday August 14, at 11:00 A.M. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Toledo, OH.
