Nadine A. Hetherington VanDervoort

Nadine Aimee VanDervoort, age 59, of Sylvania, OH, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Nadine was born on Tuesday October 19, 1965, in Lusaka, Zambia, to parents Arthur and Patricia Hetherington.

Nadine is survived by her loving husband of more than 34 years, Tim VanDervoort; daughter Rianne (Ethan) Ames; son Casson VanDervoort; brother Bradley Hetherington; brother Chalan Hetherington. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Alexandra VanDervoort.
 

She spent her early years in the Seychelles and South Africa, and carried those rich experiences throughout her life. She met Tim in Florida and spent the rest of her life in the states. Nadine was known for her vibrant spirit, artistic talent, and gift for storytelling. Whether she was painting a canvas, dancing to her favorite music, or lighting up a room with her laughter, she lived with joyful intensity and deep love.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Sunday, June 8, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, OH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Nadine’s honor may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
