Michael William Stewart

Michael  W. Stewart, age 80, of Sylvania, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 19, 2024, at the Northwest Ohio Hospice Ebeid Center. Born on March 2, 1944, in Toledo, Ohio, Michael was the beloved son of the late William E.  Stewart and Ruth (Jobst) Stewart.

A graduate of Purdue University in 1967, Michael had a distinguished career for many years as project engineer at Owens Illinois, where he was respected for his dedication and expertise.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Ana Stewart, and their two sons, Steve and Dan, sister-in-law, Linda Stewart and brother-in-law, Charles Smith, he also leaves behind his cousin, Bruce, and his wife, Jan Wetzel. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Carol Smith, and his brother Ralph Stewart.

The family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the Parkinson Foundation, the Alzheimer Association of  Northwest Ohio or St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sylvania in lieu of flowers. Funeral arrangements are pending with Reeb Funeral Home.
