Mavis Smith Obituary

Mavis C. Smith, 91, of Sylvania, OH, who was born in Detroit, MI, August 16, 1928, to parents Theodore and Mae (Hunt) Laurencelle, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at home while under hospice care.

Mavis is survived by her sons Michael (Susan), Dale (Karol), and Gary (Sandy) Smith; 9 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Elwyn Smith; and brother Ted Laurencelle.

Mavis was laid to rest beside Elwyn at Toledo Memorial Park.

Those wishing to offer memorials in Mavis’s memory are asked to consider the Special Olympics.
