Mary C Lewis

Mary C Lewis, 84, of Sylvania, OH, passed away at her son’s home on June 8, 2026. She was born August 7, 1941 in Owosso, MI to Joseph and Mary (Seda) Lauro and married John M Lewis on October 11th 1980.

Mary retired from General Motors in Defiance. She loved to travel, visiting several different states and other countries with her sister and friends. Mary enjoyed quilting and flower gardening Mary is survived by her children, Michael (Araceli) Lewis, Linda Welly and Scott (Amy) Lewis; grandchildren, Jozef, Jarek, and many other grandchildren; great-grandchild, Clayton and many other great- grandchildren; siblings, Christine Yant, Clement Lauro and Joseph (Sheri) Lauro. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John M Lewis; children, Laurie (Walt) Martishius and Gary Lewis; and sister, Katherine Vyskocil and brothers, David (Kay) Lauro and Gerald (Nancy) Lauro and sister-in-law Anne Lauro and brother-in-law Richard Yant. Nephews Chad Lauro, Ambrose and Tony Vyskocil.

Family and friends may attend visitation at the St. Joseph Catholic Church at 5411 Main Street Sylvania, Ohio on Saturday day, June 13, 2026 from 11 AM until the mass begins at 1 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations in Mary/s name be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sylvania.
