Marvin L. Schwartz, 91, of Toledo, OH, passed away Monday, November 18, 2024, at his home while under hospice care.
He was born August 18, 1933, in Kenton, OH, to parents Joseph and Virginia (Woodward) Schwartz. Marvin was employed as a furnace technician with L.A. Bexton Inc. Ottawa Lake, MI, for more than 40 years, before retiring. He was proud to have served with the United States Airforce in Japan at the end of W.W.II.
Marvin was a cool guy! He loved his family, friends, Ohio State Football and parties. Marvin played tennis, golf, and volleyball till he was well up in years. He enjoyed taking care of his property and was still mowing his huge yard up to a few weeks ago.
Marvin is survived by his loving sons Kevin and Brian (Pam) Schwartz; was the best grandpa to Eric (Taylor), Justin (Kierstin) and Brandon Schwartz, and their children Aubree, Nicklas, Shelby, Chelsea, and Palmer Schwartz; and sisters Darla Gearig and Carol Meinecke. He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife Ann L. (Hughes) Schwartz; and brothers William and Ronald Schwartz.
Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St. Sylvania, OH, Tuesday, November 26, 2024, from 11:00am until the Funeral Ceremony begins at 1:00pm. He will be laid to rest beside Ann with Military Honors at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
