Marilyn Jane (Sigg) Caswell

Marilyn J. (Sigg) Caswell (1938-2018), age 79, of Ft. Myers, FL and formerly Toledo, OH passed away Friday, May 18, 2018, at Ebeid Hospice on the campus of Flower Hospital.  Marilyn was born on November 3, 1938, to William and Helen (Nagel) Sigg in Wauseon, Ohio.  She married Galen L. Caswell on January 1, 1959. They were married for 51 years before Galen’s death in 2011.  Marilyn enjoyed taking walks on Ft. Myers Beach and Toledo’s Wildwood Park, playing cards and checkers, gardening, spending time with her children and grandchildren and her beloved dog, Lilly.  Preceding her in death was husband, Galen, infant son, Alan Russell, parents, parents-in-law, brother, Arthur (Elsielou) Sigg, and beloved aunts and uncles.

Marilyn is survived by her children, Gale (Mark) Clark, Sue (Brad) Briddell, Robert (Laura Beth) Caswell; grandchildren, Ryan, Sarah, Scott and Eric Briddell; Michelle Clark, Emily (Chris) Zunk, Andy Clark (Brianne); Aaron and Madison Caswell, Sabrina and Bryce Bowman; sister, Norma (Warren) Judson, brothers-in-law:  Keith Caswell and Merle (Mildred) Caswell. She was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Marilyn’s life will be held at Reeb Funeral Home, Sylvania, Saturday, May 26 from 3-7:00 p.m.  Those wishing to donate in Marilyn’s memory are asked to consider Ebeid Hospice or a charity of the  donor’s choice.
