Lois Jean Hogan, 91, of Toledo, OH, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at home while under hospice care. She was born in Swanton, OH, December 31, 1933, to parents Ralph and Margaret (Rice) Franklin. Lois Jean was employed for many years as secretary with Owens-Illinois before retiring. She loved baking, pies were her specialty. Lois Jean enjoyed traveling, playing tennis, and time spent at her second home in Naples, Fla.
She is survived by her daughter Kim Keel; grandsons Nicholas, Kelly (Savannah), and Andrew (Kelli) Keel; great-grandchildren Laila, Alexander, Enora, and Emily; sisters Carole (Bill) Mason and Grace (Don) Bauman; and brother Floyd “Bud” (Nancy) Franklin. Lois Jean was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband John R. “Moose” Hogan; sisters Donna Mae, Laura, Ruth, and Sharon; and brother John. The family would like to thank care-givers Chasity, Candace, Alexis, and Aniyah for their loving care and concern during this difficult time.
Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St. Sylvania, OH, Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 11:00am until the Funeral Ceremony begins at 1:00pm. Pastor Dave Frye of the Epiphany Lutheran Church officiating. She will be laid to rest beside Moose at Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery at the Conclusion of the Funeral Ceremony.
