Linda Darlene (Edgar) Oswald passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in 1947 to Willard and Laverne Edgar.
She was a proud graduate of the University of Toledo, where she earned a degree in education. In 2020, she married the love of her life, Earl Oswald, with whom she shared a deep and devoted bond.
Linda dedicated 45 wonderful years to Showcase Cinemas, where she made history as the first woman in the US to be promoted to manager. After decades of hard work and commitment, she retired, leaving behind a legacy of leadership and dedication.
Throughout her life, Linda was an avid Disney World fan and found great joy in creating scrapbooks filled with treasured memories. To her beloved nieces and nephews, she was affectionately known as “Aunt Linda Claus,” always present and enthusiastic in supporting them at their sporting events and activities. Linda also had a deep love for her 18 feline friends, who brought her endless comfort and companionship.
Linda is survived by her loving husband, Earl Oswald; stepdaughter, Sherri (Creed) Rollins; stepson, Earl (Jessica) Oswald III; sister, Denise (Duane) Glase; brother, Bill (Tamre) Edgar; and her cherished nieces and nephews, Samantha (Nick) Weber, Natalie (Evan) Karrs, Kimberly (Brett) Peeples, Duane (Amanda) Glase, Sara Sanders, and Adam (Angel) Edgar; and13 great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Family and friends may call Reeb Funeral Home on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Reeb Funeral Home on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 11:00 AM. The family request in lieu of flowers donations to be made to The Humane Society, the Alzheimer’s Association or The Foundation Fighting Blindness.
Linda will be remembered for her kindness, devotion to family, love of life, and the many lives she touched along the way.
