Joyce Glander

Margie “Joyce” Glander, 88, a life-long Trilby resident, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2024.  Joyce was born on March 31, 1936 in Toledo, OH, to parents Darwin and Florence Yeager. Joyce married William “Bill” Glander and together they raised 4 children.

Joyce was a 1954 graduate of Whitmer High School.  She was very involved in Dendarah Court No. 10.  After her children were grown, she worked at Trilby Farm Dairy and part-time at Janney’s Ace Hardware on Secor Road. 

Joyce traveled extensively with her husband and after he passed away, she enjoyed travel with her family and friends. She loved tending to her flower gardens.  Most important to Joyce, was her family, especially her grandchildren.

Joyce is survived by her children, William K. Glander, Tom (Jill) Glander, Gaylene (Kevin) Strouse and Shari (David) Nimigean; grandchildren, Bryan (Emily) Strouse, David (Tracy) Strouse, Kayla (Steven) Johns, Shawn and Lacey Glander, Travis and Craig Nimigean, and Jeremiah Glander; 8 great grandchildren;sister, Joan (Robert) Jennewine and special niece Sue Dubendorfer.  Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and husband in 2015.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 19, 2024 from 11am until the service begins at 1:30pm at the Reeb Funeral Home in Sylvania.  Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
