Joseph “Butch” Carter died unexpectedly on April 16, 2022 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was born on September 24, 1945 in Toledo, OH to Joseph and Lillian Carter (Ankney). Butch, as his family and friends called him, joined the United States Navy, where he proudly served from 1963 through 1966.
