Joanne Carolyn (Santelli) Miller

Joanne Carolyn Miller, 91, of Ottawa Lake, Michigan, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2021. Joanne was born on November 16, 1929, to Sam and Floy Santelli in Toledo, Ohio.           “To Michigan she’d like to roam to buy a cottage to call her home”, was under her 1948 Libbey High School yearbook picture.  A few years later, she found her way to Michigan.              On July 30, 1954, Joanne married Howard G. Miller, Sr. and moved from the city to the country and never looked back.  She had been a Michigan Wolverine fan since High School, so Michigan was the place for her.   Joanne and Howard were married for over 62 years. They had two children, Howard G. Miller, Jr. (Janis Miller) of Ottawa Lake, Michigan, and Laura J. Moore of Toledo, Ohio.  She was blessed with seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.  Joanne was often described as “feisty.” She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making those around her laugh. Her sense of humor will be missed.                                                                                                                                                                                         The family would like to thank the staff at Vibrant Life Senior Living for the kindness and care provided to Joanne during her  stay.
