Joann Nixon Obituary

Joann M. Nixon, 88, of Sylvania, OH passed away December 27, 2020 at Sunset Village in Sylvania. She was born March 31, 1932 in Lyons, OH to Clarence and Mary (Martz) Johnson. Joann was married to William Nixon, Jr. for 63 years before his passing in 2016.

Joann worked at Lott Industries helping those with developmental disabilities and was a long-time member of Sylvania First United Methodist Church. Joann and her husband enjoyed traveling with their friends Maria and Anthony Noto, visiting Hawaii 4 four times. She enjoyed cooking, needlepoint, bowling and reading.

Joann is survived by her children, Cathleen Smith and David Nixon; granddaughter, Shannon (Johnathan) Mossman.

Due to Covid-19, private services are being held at the Reeb Funeral Home.
