Joan Kathleen (Blessing) Ryan

Joan Kathleen Ryan, age 87, of Surprise, AZ, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022. She was born on July 4, 1934, to Harold and Thelma (Yaeger) Blessing in Monroe, Michigan. Joan attended school in Petersburg, Mich. and graduated in 1952. Then went on to Stanzenberger Business School in Toledo and got her first job at Revco in Deerfield, Mich. for two years. After that she was employed with Kaiser Jeep for 8 years. In 1956 she met the love of her life, Orton Samuel Ryan Sr. of Toledo, Ohio and was married June 1957 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Monroe, Michigan. From this union, they had five children born to them. Surviving are her brother Lyle (Karen) Blessing and her sister Mary Jo Blessing. Daughters Kathleen (Ray) Roberts, Jennifer Ryan. Sons Orton (Pamela) Ryan Jr., James Ryan, and Richard (Amy) Ryan. Grandchildren Lorelei (Omar) Trahin, Alexandria Berger, Zac and Sherry Ryan, Julia Ruetz, and Samantha Ryan. One niece, Leslie Jo (Robert) Ver Duin and nephew Lance (Lindsey) Blessing. Great niece and nephews Sarah and David Ver Duin, and Joey Blessing. Great grandchildren Sophia and Luis Trahin. Joan loved the Lord and her family, as well as her lifelong friends. Her smile, spirit, and caring nature will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, Sylvania Wednesday June 22, 2022 from 4-8:00 P.M. where funeral services will be held, Thursday june 23, 2022 at Noon.  Interment to follow at Historic Woodlawn Cemeter.  Online condolences to
