Joan Hoffman Haugh

Joan Hoffman Haugh, 72, of Sylvania, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Toledo Hospital. She was born December 8, 1948, in Toledo, OH to John and Ruth (Baughn) Hoffman; she was the 7th of 10 children.  Joan grew up in Perrysburg, was a graduate of Perrysburg High School and attended St. Rose Church. She regularly attended mass. Joan attended The Ohio State University and was an avid OSU football fan.  She worked at Ventura’s for over 15 years along side her daughter and grandchildren and was thankful for her Ventura’s “family”.

Besides spending time with her family, friends and grandchildren, she loved traveling especially to the beaches of Florida as well as entertaining, hosting and decorating for holidays and special occasions. She was a devoted mother, sister, friend and Mimi.  Joan was a wonderful, giving, cheerful and loving soul. Despite her recent diagnosis with cancer, she was a strong inspiration to her family for her enduring positivity in time of hardship and determination to overcome every obstacle.  

Joan is survived by her loving children, Holly Young, Jeff Heiniger and Nikki Lang; grandchildren, Connor Young, Taylor Young, Nicholas Young, Gabrielle Young, Gracie Heiniger and Lillian Lang; siblings, Marilyn (Jim) Fouke, Jerry (Luanne) Hoffman, Allen (Bonnie) Hoffman, Ned (Cynthia) Hoffman, Jim Hoffman, Diane Nordhoff, Denise (Kevin) Benschoter, and Janet Wiley; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jack Hoffman and son-in-law, Todd Lang.

Visitation will be Friday, August, 27, 2021 from 4pm until 8pm at the Reeb Funeral Home 5712 Main St, Sylvania, OH 43560. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 10:30am at St. Rose Catholic Church in Perrysburg. Memorials may be made to Cherry Street Mission or St. Jude Hospital.
