Jeffery Vern Jeffers, a devoted husband, proud father and papa, loving son and brother, and loyal friend passed away peacefully at home on March 3, 2026, at the age of 63.
Born on October 19, 1962, at Riverside Hospital in Toledo. Jeff had a passion for food and hospitality from a young age. He pursued his dream by attending the Culinary Institute of America in New York, where he refined his skills and began a lifelong career in the food industry. Over the years, he held various positions that showcased not only his talent and dedication but also his strong work ethic and integrity. He concluded his career with Sofo Foods, where he was respected by colleagues and customers who were more considered like family.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jeff’s greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted husband of 26 years to his beloved wife, Kelie. Together, they built a life centered on love, laughter and unwavering support.
He was a proud father to his four children, who carry forward his strength, values, and sense of humor. Nothing made him happier than being “Papa” to his six cherished grandchildren, with one more precious blessing on the way. His eyes would light up at every gathering, especially when surrounded by the little ones who adored him.
Jeffers will be remembered for his generous heart, steady presence, and the way he brought people together around a table. Whether preparing a meal or sharing a story, he made everyone feel welcome and valued.
Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents, Horace and Susan Jeffers, and Marie Crawford. His father, Vern, and his sister, Jenny.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kelie; his children, Christopher, Stephanie (Mychael), Dylan and Nicholas (Caryssa); his cherished grandchildren; Julian, Michael, Paisley, Aubree, Liam, and Mila, his mother, Carol; his siblings, Bill (Cheryl), Susie, David (Terry), and Matt (Jenni) along with extended family members and many close friends.
A celebration of his life will be held on March 7 at Reeb Funeral Home in Sylvania, Ohio at 2 p.m., with service following promptly at 5 p.m.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Heartland Hospice for their compassionate support. Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to Heartland Hospice.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a wonderful husband, dad, papa, brother, son, and friend.
