Jim “Bo” Buehrer, age 83, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at The Lakes of Sylvania. He was born in Toledo, Ohio, to parents Ernest E. and Ruth A. (Schemenauer) Buehrer. He was proud to be raised in East Toledo and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Grade School and graduated from Central Catholic High School, class of 1957. Jim spent 41 years selling Industrial Supplies & Equipment to the Automotive Industry, retiring in 2000 from The Corbin Corporation. Jim was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church since 1970 and was a member of The Knights of Columbus Council #3122 for over 56 years. He was an avid University of Michigan Football fan, having season tickets for many years. He loved to golf and was proud of his two holes-in-one! He was also a great bowler. He married his high school sweetheart Patricia Ann Hogan in 1960 and they enjoyed 58 wonderful years together until her death in 2018. Jim was very proud of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and was always interested in their sports and school activities and accomplishments in life. He had many wonderful friends and he enjoyed spending time and vacationing with them.
He is survived by his children: Diane (Jeff) Kovacs, David (Danielle) Buehrer, Nancy (Mike) Osborne, Mary Pat (Mark) Anderson. He was known as Grampa Jimmer to his 10 grandchildren: Andrea (Bill) Donatone, Kevin Kovacs, Noah Buehrer, Rachael (Abram) Glas, Jacob (Julie) Osborne, Andrew (Katelyn) Osborne, Nathaniel (Rendi) Osborne, Matthew Osborne, Mackenzie (John) Marciniak, and Megan Anderson; and 13 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers: Philip (Sharon), Larry (Paula), and Ron (Maureen) Buehrer, special sisters-in-law: Rosemary (Jerry) Boy and Cathy (Mike) Boyer, many nieces and nephews, and his best friend of 75 years, Ron Glick. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and sister, Jeanne Horwath.
Friends may call at Reeb Funeral Home, Sylvania, Tuesday, August 2, 2022, from 4-8:00 P.M. The funeral mass will be conducted at Christ the King Catholic Church, Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 10:30 A.M. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
