Jacqueline Lee (Edinger) Watkins

Jacqueline “Jackie” Lee Watkins, 86, of South Weber, Utah, formerly of Sylvania, Ohio, passed away on September 22, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 12, 1939, in Sylvania, Ohio, the beloved daughter of Woodrow and Ariel Edinger who grew into a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many.

Jackie and Robert B. Watkins, married 68 years, shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and unforgettable experiences. A proud mother, Jackie was the heart of her family, celebrating her children’s milestones – Cory’s career as a professor at the University of Central Florida and Suzanne’s joy in brining two beautiful grandchildren into the world Alexsis and Anthony.

Jackie loved cardinals and sunflowers, she loved to care for her family and was a consummate jokester. In her younger years, she very much enjoyed the family vacations to Camp La Plage, Canada, Niagara Falls, and the Great Smokey Mountains. In her later years, she was a regular member at Planet fitness where she and her fellow geriatric gym rats would ride spin bikes and pump iron.

Jacqueline will be dearly missed by her beloved husband, Robert, her children, Suzanne and Cory, her two sisters, Joanne and LuAnn, grandchildren, Alexsis and Anthony, and her many friends and extended family. She touched the lives of many and will be fondly remembered for her kindness, compassion, humor, and gentle spirit. Those we love do not go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, so loved, so missed, so very dear.

A celebration of life for Jacqueline Lee Watkins will be held at the Sylvania Moose Lodge #1579, 6072 Main St, Sylvania, OH 43560 on October 11, 2025, from 11:00am – 1:00pm.
