It is with great sadness and a heavy heart to announce the passing of a beautiful soul in the early morning hours of February 2, 2025, with her daughter holding her hand and son-in-law Paul by her side.
JAnn was born on January 14, 1935, to Frank and Vera Parrott in Pontiac, MI. She was a graduate of Libbey High School in 1953. She married Richard Hummel and had two children, Eric Richard Hummel and Renee Elizabeth Hummel. They divorced and she was a single mother of two for several years. She later married Donald A. Haughn and had a son, Dana Alan Haughn. JAnn was an avid reader and could finish a book sometimes in one day. She had endured a lot of pain in her life but never lost her love or sense of humor that all her children and grandchildren inherited. She was the keeper of everyone’s secrets and the queen of one liners. She always had room at her table for anyone that had nowhere to go for dinners and holidays. She taught her children to be loving and compassionate humans and to help anyone in need. When she needed anything, her family would rally together to get it done, no matter what the task.
JAnn was preceded in death by her husband Donald and her sons Eric Hummel and Dana Haughn.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Renee (Paul) Hyland. Grandchildren Erica (Phil Warner) Wells, Niccole (Austin) Sargent, Jacob Haughn and Isabella Haughn. Great grandchildren Sophia and Jackson Wells, Austin, Isaiah, Jeremiah Sargent.
A special thank you to her Hospice nurse Debbie for they had a special bond and to Peggy Snyder.
