Heather Marea Glover Savoie (AKA: feather monster)

Heather Marea Glover Savoie, 50, of Sylvania, Ohio passed away December 30, 2021, peacefully at home after a courageous battle with glioblastoma brain cancer.  She was born on April 5, 1971 in Neptune, NJ to Frank Glover and Jo Ann (Bay) Glover.  Heather lived several places during her lifetime including New Jersey, California, Florida, Georgia,Ohio and Michigan..  She graduated from Anthony Wayne High School in Whitehouse, OH in 1989 and went on to graduate from the University of Toledo, 1996. 

Heather loved her kids above all else and raised them to be strong, successful individuals.  She never wanted this disease to define her or to be the legacy she left for them. 

Heather loved the Florida beaches and the sunshine.  She said, “If you can’t see the sunshine, BE the sunshine”. She was passionate about the Detroit Redwings and loved music, especially country.  A favorite artist was Miranda Lambert. She loved spending time at Sand Lake in Michigan with her family and friends. She was an extremely creative person and it showed through her talent for decorating and her amazing sense of style.

Her whole life, Heather had a history of taking in strays.  She started with kittens and even managed to take in a few kids. Her most recent stray is their precious cat ‘Lulu’. 

Heather is survived by her loving children, Remy Andre Savoie and Eiley Monique Savoie and parents, Jo Ann and Frank.  She is also survived by her sisters, Carrie (Joe) Hertzfeld and Kellie (John) Mayhan and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles & cousins.

Heather was preceded in death by her older brother, Tom Glover, maternal grandparents, Joseph & Ann Bay, her paternal grandparents, Frank & Evelyn Glover.

A celebration of life for Heather will be held on Saturday, January 8th at Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 Main Street, Sylvania, Ohio.  Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 with a service beginning at 4:00.  The family wishes this to be a casual, informal affair.  Please wear something comfortable and help us celebrate the life of this amazing mom, daughter, sister, aunt & friend.

A special thank you to all the doctors, nurses and caregivers that supported her throughout this journey. 

The memory of Heather will be with us forever…in the morning sunrise and the evening sunset.
