Grace Lynn Obituary

On Tuesday, November 19, 2019, Grace Lynn "Gracie" left her physical body behind to live in eternity with our Lord.

Grace Elizabeth Courtright was born March 17, 1926 in London, England.  She arrived to the United States with her parents via the Queen Mary at 2 years of age.  She spent the majority of her youth in Ft. Wayne, Indiana but finished her high school education in White Plains, New York, after which she was employed at an all boys orphanage, which she loved.

She had many hobbies throughout her years; several that were featured in popular magazines and newspapers, including her Apple Head Doll creations and intricate, decorative goose and duck eggs.  She was a member of the Toledo Doll Club for many years and enjoyed collecting antique dolls and creating her own teddy bears.  Her latest creativity was designing and crafting greeting cards for the special occasions of her many friends' lives, all tailor-made to reflect their personalities and interests.  She loved her bunco friends and lived for her once-a-month bunco parties.  She has been a Charter member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Samaria, Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Frank Warren Lynn, who passed in May of 2009.  She is survived by her sister, Connie Willard of Portland, Oregon, brother Robert Courtright (Vicki) of Port Orford, Oregon; daughters, Sandy (Lynn) Surface of Michigan, Debbie (Bob) Cassiere of Florida.  Grace has four granddaughters, Kelsey, Julie, Lindsey, and Kylee.  She also has six great-grandchildren, Barrett, Knox, Lainey, Jett, Brielle, and Jace.

She will be truly missed by all her friends and especially her family.

Visitation will be held at the Reeb Funeral Home on Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 5 p.m until 8 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 22 at 11 a.m. at Whiteford Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations to Ebeid Hospice Residence.
