Gordon J. Bischoff, 89, a life-long resident of Ottawa Lake, MI, passed away, Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Otterbein Sunset Village.
Gordon was born at home in Ottawa Lake, November 11, 1935, to parents Lester and Julia (Iott) Bischoff. He was employed with G.M, Powertrain (Hydromatic) for more than 34 years, retiring in 1994. Gordon was proud to have served from 1956 -1958 and was Honorably Discharged from the United States Marine Corp. Gordon loved all sports especially the University of Michigan and NASCAR.
He is survived by his sons, Brian (Christine), Brad (Veronica), and Bruce Bischoff; grandchildren, Jacob (Hayley) Bischoff, Allison (Chance) Perkins, Austin (Rebecca) and Evan (Maggie) Bischoff, Allister and Jamison Perkins, and Myla Bischoff; sisters, Delores Thorn and Rosemary Hill; and brother, Mark Bischoff. Gordon was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Sally (Keller) Bischoff; and brothers, Dennis and Philip Bischoff.
Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St. Sylvania, OH, Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. The Funeral Mass will be conducted at the St. Clement Catholic Church, Thursday, January 23, 2025, at 10:00am. Gordon will be laid to rest beside Sally at Whiteford Union Cemetery, at a later date.
